Sandeep Mishra and Sambit Mohapatra were elected unopposed as the new president and secretary respectively of Odisha Sports Journalists Association (OSJA) in the Annual General meeting of the state body, held here today.
Sandeep and Sambit succeeded K Ravi and Sanatan Pani respectively for a two-year term (2019-2021). Though changes occurred for other posts, voting played no role. Showing strong unity, members of OSJA once again chose to reconstitute the body unanimously.
Decisions to organize the next OSJA Annual Awards Function in Cuttack, sports seminars at different venues, upgrade OSJA website with social media integration and included five new members were taken in the AGM.
It was also decided to make renewed appeal to the Chief Minister, Sports Minister and I&PR Minister for issue of government accreditation to working sports journalists of the state.
